Some helpful tips.

1. Try to think about value. What makes your app better for being in game over a website?
2. User experience. When gaming, people are looking for the answer now. They have no time to fiddle around as they're in the middle of slaying some epic boss or a PvP match. Try to make your app simple to use and understand to prevent confusion and annoyance from users.
3. Flow - Make the flow of your app smooth. From opening up the app and to closing it, make it a smooth experience.
4. Be unique. Try to find that added something that would make your app stick out. It could be that it's eye catching or matches a certain games UI to having a special feature that just isn't out there yet.
5. Language - Gamers have their own language and love using it. Make your app speak to the group of people you're targeting.
6. Performance - Gamers are nitpicky about how their games perform. If your app takes too many resources away from their game, they'd be less likely to use it. As best as you can, make your app run well.
